Who we are

Africa Tech Trust Ltd (“ATT”, “we”) is a private limited company registered in Nairobi, Kenya. This notice explains what personal data we collect through africatechtrust.com, why, and the rights you have. It is written to comply with Kenya’s Data Protection Act, 2019 and to respect the data-protection laws of the countries our visitors write from.

What we collect

Enquiry forms — your name, email address, organisation, region, the audience and interest you select, your message, the page you wrote from and your consent.

The ATT Brief — your email address, your language and your consent.

Analytics — once you acknowledge the privacy row, Google Analytics (loaded through Google Tag Manager) records how the site is used: pages visited, approximate location, device and browser. Until then analytics storage is off. Technical data — the server logs needed to deliver and secure the site. We run no advertising trackers.

Why we use it

To answer your enquiry and route it to the right person inside ATT; to send you The ATT Brief when you have asked for it; to keep the site secure and working. We rely on your consent for the newsletter and on our legitimate interest in answering the enquiries you send us.

Who processes it

Enquiries and newsletter subscriptions are delivered through Resend, our email service provider, under its data-processing terms. Usage analytics are processed by Google (Google Analytics via Google Tag Manager) under Google’s data-processing terms. The site is served by our hosting provider. We do not sell personal data and we do not share it with third parties for their own purposes.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept for as long as the conversation they started, and for up to twenty-four months afterwards for the institutional record. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe — every issue carries an unsubscribe link.

Your rights

You may ask what personal data we hold about you, correct it, ask us to delete it, object to or restrict its processing, and withdraw consent at any time. Write to [email protected]; we reply within thirty days. You may also complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner of Kenya or to the authority in your own country.

Changes

We update this notice when our practices change; the effective date above tells you when.
